The choice to begin therapy takes courage and vulnerability. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here! I'm Jami Lewis, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), under the supervision of Jaclyn N Sepp, MA, LPC-S, RPT-S™, NCC, RYT200, and Leah Gilbert, MEd, LPC-S, NCC. I earned my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University, which is known for its excellence in training counselors. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and am a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) candidate.

For over a decade, I've had the privilege of supporting people in various roles such as school counselor, special education teacher, college advisor, and athletics coach across all levels of education. In 2023, I was honored to receive the CREST Award (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in Texas) from the Texas Counseling Association.

I deeply value supporting any member of a family system. Whether I'm working with a child navigating big feelings and big behaviors, a teenager struggling with anxiety, a young adult feeling overwhelmed by major life transitions and identity exploration, or a new mother needing help with all things that come with postpartum life, I believe in nurturing the unique strengths and resilience of each individual within a warm and supportive therapeutic environment.

My approach is centered around building strong relationships based on curiosity, compassion, and hope. From there, I integrate techniques from evidence-based practices such as Interpersonal Neurobiology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Theory and Feminist Theory to tailor therapy sessions to your specific needs and goals. If my approach has resonated with you or you felt a spark of curiosity, I encourage you to take that next step and reach out! I’d be honored to support you and your family on this next part of your journey.

Outside of my counseling practice, I'm a native Texan living in Austin with my husband and our 30lb adventure partner, June. When I'm not working, you'll find me hiking, attempting to develop a green thumb, dancing badly in my living room, or making plans to explore a new place I’ve never been.
