Rebekah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Registered Play Therapy(RPT™) and EMDR-Trained. Rebekah received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (CACREP Accredited Program) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University. She has experience working with children, teens, and young adults in both inpatient hospital settings and community clinics. Her work includes providing individual, family, and group therapy services to clients with diverse needs.
She believes in meeting individuals wherever they are on their journey. She is deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Rebekah prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in compassion and unconditional positive regard.
When working with children, Rebekah utilizes child-centered play therapy and other expressive modalities, allowing the child to take the lead and reinforcing their role as the expert of their own world. She believes play empowers children to build self-confidence and navigate life’s challenges. Rebekah also works closely with parents, caregivers, and key support figures to provide comprehensive care and ensure children feel supported both in and outside of therapy. With teens and adults, Rebekah takes an integrative approach, incorporating trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her goal is to empower clients of all ages to overcome obstacles and move toward healing and growth.
Originally from Louisiana, Rebekah moved to Austin in 2020 to be closer to loved ones. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, exploring new cuisines, and traveling
