Internship Program
We currently are setting up interviews for our Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 internship program. We are prioritizing students who are interested in play therapy and are comfortable working with families.
The deadline to apply is April 7, 2023.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
Current student in graduate counseling program with an interest in supporting children, adolescents and families
Experience working with children, adolescents and families in a clinical setting
Completed at least one graduate level play therapy class
Available to see clients after school hours and weekends
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provide clinical counseling services to clients- including children, adults, adolescents and/or their caregivers and families
Assess new clients for individual treatment plan
Create individual treatment plans based on DSM diagnoses
Provide treatment using a variety of modalities to include but are not limited to: caregiving education, the use of therapeutic play techniques, and trauma-focused theories
Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary
Timely completion of written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time Ensemble Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion
Keep client files accurate and up to date
Participate in team meetings and 1:1 & group consultation
