The Montessori Toddler

Appropriate Age Range:

Adults and caregivers.

What this book is all about:

A guide to the Montessori approach and ways to implement it in your home environment as well as your interactions with your child(ren). The book is split into sections including "raising a curious child who feels seen and heard, nurturing cooperation and responsibility in our child, and being the adult" sharing Montessori (and play therapy aligned) values even if your chid doesn't go to Montessori school or you want your home to be curated as a Montessori home.

Why you might want to read it:

You want to honor your child and their inane capacities especially during their toddler years when they are asserting their independence and crave a sense of competency and autonomy.

3 questions for you to ask yourself after reading it:

  1. How am I helping my child foster curiosity? What suggested interventions feel manageable to implement in my parent/child relationship?

  2. How am I fostering cooperation in my child? Is there anything I do right now that might send the opposite message I am trying to send?

  3. What environmental or expectational changes can I make to alleviate stress around challenges and transitions?
